After our magical Christmas in July weekend at Rustig, I received a message that truly warmed my heart. It reminded me of the beauty we are creating together; not just in the places we visit, but in the connection we’re building.
In this space we call Fenix, something special is unfolding. It is not just about hiking or escaping the noise of the city. It is about showing up as we are: no masks, no pressure. Just men being real. Finding strength in vulnerability. Finding brotherhood in shared steps, shared silences, and shared stories.
And every now and then, a message lands that captures it all so perfectly. I had to share this one with you, because it is us.

*“Rustig. In the crisp morning air, waking up at the break of dawn to birds chirping in the trees, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and Fenix’s own Gordon Ramsey, Ferdie, busy preparing breakfast. One wakes up with a grateful heart knowing that the hiking adventure is about to start. Meeting up with fellow hikers that are becoming family is the ultimate adventure. Starting off with below-zero temperatures, our family embarked on a journey through the icy grass, to the forestry walk and the mountain hike, elevating our core temperatures from zero to hero in no time. Soaring like the vultures we saw flying above, ending up with a spectacular view from up above overlooking the vastness of the horizon.
Special thanks to Ferdie for all the time and effort taken to plan this trip to the very last detail. Love you all and hoping we will create more memories along the way."

To every one of you: thank you. For showing up. For being yourselves. For bringing your hearts to this journey. The friendships, the laughter, the quiet pauses beneath open skies… it all matters.
I’m so deeply grateful to be walking this path with you.
Here is to many more memories made under wide skies, around crackling fires, and along trails that remind us who we are.
